The surrounding area

The cottage is located on Østerøya in Sandefjord municipality, at the very end of a headland and right down by the water's edge – a premium location on its own islet with a magical sea view over the entire Mefjorden. The sun conditions are very good, there is a private pier, and by boat you have access to one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the country. Here you just have to get ready for swimming, water sports and crab fishing.

The coastal path network on Østerøya is around 20 km long, and provides both exercise and great nature experiences. From Yxenøy and Tønsberg tønne you have a wide view of the sea, and from the top of Flautangåsen there is a great view of Tønsbergfjorden, Tjøme and to Verdens Ende. It is about 9 km to the center of Sandefjord, which is a beautiful summer town with several popular restaurants. Recommended places here include Brygga 11 and not least Brødrene Berggren with their great fish shop.

For golf enthusiasts, Sandefjord Golf Club offers an 18-hole golf course at Marum, a few kilometers outside the city.
